The initial assessment of the floor we offer is obligational and free of charge. Such on-site inspection can be arranged over the phone or on our website in a convenient for you time, according to the working schedule of the company. Be aware that in cases when the specification of the service is clear to the client and our team, our customer service member will be able to provide you with a free quotation over the phone without attending the site.


We at Sanding.uk do our best to guarantee the full satisfaction of our clients with every service we deliver and tailor to the specific requirements of the project. However, we assume that there may be rare occasions when the client is not absolutely happy with the work done. In such cases, we encourage you to contact our customer service team as soon as possible and discuss all your concerns within a week from the finish of the service. All services delivered by Sanding.uk are a subject of a minimum charge as it follows:

• For floor repairs up to two hours, the minimum charge is £240 inc. Vat and full-day floor repairs have a minimum charge of £320 inc. Vat.

• Minimum charge for sanding and sealing services is £460 inc. Vat.

• Minimum charge for solid and engineered wood floor installation is £320 inc. Vat.

• Minimum charge for laminate floor installation is £280 inc. Vat.

It is a matter of personal choice whether or not you will be able to and want to be present during wood floor repair, wood floor restoration, wood floor sanding, wood floor maintenance, wood floor installation service. However, we encourage you to be present while the service is delivered as this will give you a chance to discuss all possible concerns with our professional team, discuss your requirements, needs, and desires, get additional advice.

We understand that you may not be able to be present during the job. However, we advise you to try and be a present on-site while:

On the first day, when you need to let our team on-site and give your instructions unless it is otherwise discussed with a member of the staff in advance.

On a date agreed with our team beforehand in all cases when a service requires your conformation, for example for staining projects, beading or skirting profile type, etc., unless it is otherwise discussed with a member of the staff in advance.

On the date of completion of the service or services, when you can inspect the quality of the finished job, sign an evaluation sheet, and arrange payment.


All services delivered by Sanding.uk are fully bonded by a comprehensive Public Liability, Treatment Risk, and Employers Liability Insurance.


The company is obligated towards every client to investigate and redo or rectify any issues raised by the client in regards to every wood floor restoration and repair service delivered by Sanding.uk.

The Service Guarantee covers the replacement of all materials, including the actual flooring in all cases of improper use of products and materials or improper planning during the wood floor services delivered. However, keep in mind that Sanding.uk reserves the right to limit the Service Guarantee on wood floor restoration services, in cases when the floor is not originally installed by the company.

Exemptions and limitations of the company’s Service Guarantee include:

• Damage by a third-party service provider or a faulty appliance that causes a leak, high air humidity, increased subfloor damp level that can affect the condition and appearance of a real wood floor and which have appeared after the wood floor service delivered by the company.

• All wood floor services that involve working on floor coverings at the end of their usability term, including engineered wood flooring with significant wear on its top hardwood layer.

• Gap filling with resin fillers during wood floor installation of old floors.

Sanding.uk advises that get a guarantee for sealings from the manufacturer of the product, considering that wood floor sealing products last differently depending on the level of everyday use. In general:

• One-component sealings usually last for at least 3 years when used in bedrooms and other areas of less traffic;

• One-component sealings usually last for at least 1 year when used for hallways and other areas of high traffic;

• Two-component sealings usually last for at least 2 years when used for hallways and other areas of high traffic;


Whenever starting work on a project, our professional team will bring along all equipment, tools, and products required for the project and for best results.


All prices published or provided by the company in other shape or form are subject to VAT. Usually, all quotes are provided as final and include VAT unless otherwise stated.


In case parking facilities in your area are free of charge, we kindly ask you to ensure free parking space for our company’s vehicle in front of your property. If necessary, please make sure to provide a temporary parking permit.

In case it is not possible for you to make the parking arrangements, be aware that the relevant parking fee will be added to your bill.

The company will cover the congestion fee if you are based within the London congestion charge area.


For your convenience, our team of professionals are available during the weekends too. Keep in mind that weekend job may be a subject of additional arrangements beforehand.


No, there is no additional charge for a weekend job. This is something our company prides in as we believe in customer loyalty and a good working ethic.


In order to allow us to work more effectively and in a timely manner, we encourage you to make sure the working area is tidy and decluttered before we start delivering a service. Therefore, we advise you to clear away all the furniture pieces and other objects when it is possible for you. Keep in mind that our team can help you clear out the room and move all the furniture for a minimum charge of £80.00 per day.


All services provided by Sanding.uk are paid on the day of completion of the service, less the deposit paid in advance. Deposit is required in advance for all materials that are going to be used for the service.


For water-based varnishes, it takes about one hour for the first coast to be completely dry and it may take up to two hours for the last coat to be dry. This is when light traffic is allowed. However, furniture should be placed back on the floor no earlier than twelve hours from the application of the last coat of varnish.


Yes, Sanding.uk works with insurance companies and accepts insurance jobs. Before a service provided by Sanding.uk is books, you or the insurance company have to send a written confirmation that the quote provided by Sanding.uk is approved and discuss all payment arrangements.


Usually, gap filling is covered by the company’s guarantee, excluding gap filling with resin filler during restoration and repair of old hardwood floors. Be aware that we make sure to proceed with gap filling once we have made our best to stabilise the floor first when working on a wood floor restoration and repair service. The durability and efficiency of a gap filling service are highly determined by the solidness of the floor, its current condition and extend of wear and tear, as well as the condition of its support or joists.


Please note that every quotation you are provided with is a subject of current product prices and availability. Therefore, the company reserves the right to amend every quotation you are provided with, if not instructed within 60 days. Yes, you can cancel and rearrange a booking made with Sanding.uk with no extra charges in case you notify the company about your decision at least 48 hours prior to our visit. In case you notify the company in less than 48 hours prior to our visit, you will be charged a small administration fee.
